About

Alice Penna-Benn is the Founder and Director of Studio Penna, a Sydney-based interior architecture practice established in 2023.

A graduate of RMIT University in Melbourne, Alice has spent more than twenty years refining her craft within some of Australia’s most recognised and awarded design firms. Most recently, she held the role of Associate at a leading Sydney studio, contributing to the delivery of bespoke, high-end residential projects across the city.

Her approach is both intuitive and methodical. Grounded in design theory and supported by extensive technical knowledge, Alice brings clarity and discipline to each project while maintaining a strong creative vision. She believes interior architecture should shape the way people live — enhancing daily rituals through proportion, light, material and detail.

Through close collaboration with clients, consultants and builders, she creates spaces that feel resolved, enduring and deeply considered.
